Three Word Wardrobe




The Three Word Wardrobe is a project in partnership with Skip created to explore the relationship between clothing and mood; how colours, textures and fabrics make us feel. 

For the launch of the campaign they spent a month collecting fashion imagery - from shoots, lookbooks or daily outfit posts - by selected fashion bloggers/photographers from all over the globe to use on their various online platforms. Each image submitted is captioned with the Three Word Wardrobe formula: colour, fabrication, mood to find these patterns and connections. The SA site has recently been made live along with a pretty great competition. You can find it at www.skip.co.za.

My contribution to the Three Word Wardrobe is mix of unseens, outtakes and new images shot for and inspired by the project.

Capturing a mood through styling and colour has always been a big part of the images I make, but as one of the contributors to this project, as the month progressed I became more aware of what texture and fabrication can add to what an image is saying. These are some of the shots:
